Notes have their own dedicated tab within the case and can be used to:

  1. Save important information in an easily accessible location.
  2. Store detailed information related to the case, such as scan results, reports, and more.
Note

The note body supports up to 15,000 characters. You can use the editor formatting options or HTML.

The creation, update, and deletion of notes are recorded in the case timeline, displaying details about the actor, including usernames for users and a link to the workflow execution for workflows.

Manage notes programmatically

Use workflow steps to automatically manage cases notes:

  • Add a new note to a case
  • Update a note
  • List case notes
  • Get case note
  • Remove note from case
Note

Use the Note updated workflow trigger to execute a workflow whenever a note is added, updated, or deleted from the case.

In the example below, the results of an IP enrichment are added as a note in the case.
