Article Summary

Assign tasks to cases by using workflow steps for streamlined in-product communication. Quickly and easily share information with the case assignee or request their input. Tasks are built using Torq Interact, and pending tasks are visible from the cases' main view or timeline. 

Pending tasksTimeline entries are created for pending tasks as well as for task submission.

A user input task prompts the user to either acknowledge a message or provide requested information.

Handle a user input task

  1. Select any of the cases that have tasks assigned to them.
  2. The number of tasks assigned to the case is listed at the top of the case timeline. Click the down arrow to view the tasks.
  3. To complete a task, locate it in the list and click View.
  4. Choose your response for the various task fields.
  5. Click Submit when done.

Assign a user input task

Note
  • User input tasks aren't supported in nested workflows
  • When using Assign user input task to case steps in parallel, the order in which the tasks will be assigned can't be predicted.
  1. Add an Interaction Flow step to your workflow. 
  2. Open the Interaction Flow step settings and select Case task under Access type
  3. Provide the case ID.
